UPDATE:IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT – Services Extended Through mid to late November 2025

We’re happy to share that Washington WIC informed us they have received additional funding from the USDA, allowing WIC clinics to stay open a little longer during the government shutdown.

Thanks to this support, our KCR WIC offices in Bremerton, Silverdale, and Port Orchard will now remain open through mid to late November 2025. 

This extra funding helps us keep essential services running, including interpretation support, nutrition education, and WIC benefits. We’re hopeful that the federal government shutdown will end soon so services can continue without interruption.

Thank you to our community and staff for your patience, understanding, and dedication to keeping families supported during this time.

What Is WIC?

The Women, Infants, and Children Program (WIC) is a nutrition program that helps families get nutritious foods and info on eating better. WIC is available to pregnant women, new and breastfeeding moms, infants, and children to their 5th birthday.

Call one of the offices below if you would like:

• Monthly healthy foods to help with your food budget;
• Nutrition education and cool cooking ideas;
• Tips on breastfeeding and formula feeding and problem solving with any challenges;
• Extra checks to take to local Farmers’ Markets;
• A quick and easy way to keep track of your child’s growth and nutrition.
